HILTI IS HIRING A LOGISTICS INTERN

WHAT DOES THE ROLE INVOLVE?

You will manage and assist in all aspects of department operations while facilitating the distribution of up to 2000 inventory items. Key is your operational management of logistics service providers and conducting the inventory management (approx. 65-85m of inventory in outsourced warehouse).

Logistics service support, customer complaints notifications, inventory transfers, reporting, invoice audits, handling process related enquiries are some of your day-to-day activities. It’s key that you will assist in operations, while contributing to process improvement and strategic direction.

Your potential areas of accountability will include the following: Transport Management (Import, Export and Domestic Transport Operations Management), Warehouse Management (inclusive of warehousing Operations) Process Improvement and Controlling.

WHAT YOU NEED IS:

Minimum 0 – 2 year logistics experience
Completed bachelor’s degree/advanced diploma in Business/Logistics or Supply Chain Management.
Strong Microsoft and PC skills; including Access, Excel, PowerPoint,
Ability to use Excel for analysis
Strong Analytical skills and mathematical aptitude required
SAP & PowerBi knowledge preferred

Must be detail oriented and well organized
Comfortable working with strict deadlines
Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
High level of motivation, customer focus, and a continuous improvement mentality required
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Willing to work in operational (i.e. warehouse) and office environment
