Our client is one of South Africa’s largest fruit packing and marketing companies, situated close to Grabouw in the Western Cape. Applications are invited from individuals interested in undertaking a two-year development process to become a qualified technical assistant with specific focus on horticulture pre-harvest. The program aims to develop individuals with potential into horticultural technicians for qualification of horticulturist positions in the job market.
Significant improvements, developments and growth is taking place in the field of Horticulture and a career in the pre-harvest technical field is challenging and dynamic.
Minimum requirements:
The successful candidate will undergo a two-year development program where they will receive the necessary practical exposure, responsibilities, and training (formal and informal) to be equipped with the experience, training and knowledge required to function as a Junior Horticulturist Technician. This is not a permanent appointment, and candidates will be evaluated every six months regarding their suitability to continue with the development program.
