MICT SETA IT (Software Development) Learnerships for the Unemployed

 

MICT SETA is looking for South African jobseekers to enrol in accredited ICT qualifications across NQF Levels 3 to 6. Successful applicants will be responsible for completing structured learning programmes, participating in practical training, developing digital and technical skills, and preparing themselves for employment in South Africa’s growing ICT and digital economy.

Location: South Africa (Nationwide)
NQF Levels: Level 3 to Level 6
Credits: 70 – 240 Credits (depending on qualification)

The Media, Information and Communication Technologies Sector Education and Training Authority (MICT SETA) plays a critical role in developing South Africa’s digital workforce. It supports skills development in ICT, electronics, telecommunications, and media, ensuring learners are equipped to compete in a global digital economy.

Requirements:

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

Must have completed Grade 12./10

Must be unemployed

Must have no prior work experience

The learnership duration is 12 months

Must not be enrolled in another learnership

Applicants can choose from various accredited IT Learnerships:

Information Technology: End User Computing (NQF Level 3)
Information Technology: Technical Support (NQF Level 4)
Information Technology: Systems Development (NQF Level 4)
Information and Communications Technology (ICT)
Information Technology: Systems Support (NQF Level 5)
Telecommunication Systems (NQF Level 5)
Advertising (NQF Level 5)
Cybersecurity Analyst (NQF Level 5)
Software Developer (NQF Level 5)
Software Tester (NQF Level 5)
Data Science Practitioner (NQF Level 5
