SpecCon Holdings is inviting unemployed South African youth to apply for its 12-month Learnership Programme, a fully funded opportunity designed to equip participants with practical workplace skills, mentorship, and a nationally recognised qualification. This learnership is ideal for young people who are serious about building a career and gaining real work experience.
The SpecCon learnership is structured to combine theoretical learning with practical tasks, allowing learners to develop discipline, confidence, and job-ready skills. The programme is delivered remotely, making it accessible to applicants from different parts of South Africa. Importantly, there are no application or registration fees – SpecCon does not charge candidates to apply.
Participants selected for the programme will benefit from:
A 12-month full-time learnership
Structured training and continuous mentorship
Exposure to real workplace expectations and performance targets
Skills development aligned to industry needs
A monthly stipend to assist with basic living costs
A recognised qualification upon successful completion
Learners receive a monthly stipend to help cover essentials such as meals, data, and transport. While the exact amount may vary depending on the specific programme and funding, SpecCon learnership stipends generally range between R3 000 and R5 000 per month. The stipend is intended as support while learners focus on training and skills development.
To be considered, applicants should generally meet the following criteria:
Be a South African citizen
Be unemployed
Have Grade 10 or Grade 12 (Matric), depending on the specific learnership
Possess basic computer skills, including the ability to use email and online platforms
Be motivated, reliable, and willing to commit to a full-time learnership for 12 months
Applicants will be required to create and complete a TAP (Training Assessment Platform) profile, upload a CV, and complete compulsory online assessments such as basic maths, typing, or Excel tests.
Applications must be submitted online through the official SpecCon website. Ensure all assessments are completed and your TAP profile is fully updated before submitting.
This is a valuable opportunity for young people looking to gain experience, skills, and a recognised qualification while receiving a stipend. Apply early, as placement is competitive.
