Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 10 (or equivalent)
- South African citizen
- Ekurhuleni resident (specify ward number)
- Unemployed
- Basic first Aid competence
- Not currently participating in CoE Job Creation programme
- Willingness to learn and take instruction from Supervisors
Other:
- Must be physically fit and able to perform basic water rescues
- Willing to attend preliminary swimming assessments within the CoE swimming pool
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends, public holidays, and school terms
Core Responsibilities:
- Facilitate and conduct daily swimming lessons under the Learn to Swim programme in line with municipal objectives and safety protocols
- Educate participants on basic swimming techniques and water safety awareness
- Maintain accurate attendance and progress records of learners
- Set up, check, and maintain pool safety equipment and instructional materials
- Ensure compliance with municipal health and safety policies within aquatic facilities
- Assist with outreach activities to promote programme participation across the municipality
- Report all incidents, risks, or equipment faults to the Aquatic Coordinator
- Provide feedback to programme coordinators regarding lesson progress and learner development
- Support general administrative duties related to the aquatic programme as required

Individuals currently participating in other job creation projects are not eligible to apply for these opportunities until they have completed a six-month cooling-off period following the conclusion of their previous participation.
