We are looking for a In-Store Associate to join our team!
As an In-Store Associate, your main role is to make sure Heineken products are always available in stores, displayed correctly, and attractively. This helps increase sales, build customer loyalty, and maintain good relationships with store staff and customers.
- This position requires you to work between multiple stores within a specific area.
- You will be required to have your own smartphone in order to be considered for the position.
- You will be required to upload copies of your Matric Certificate, ID, SARS Letter and Bank Confirmation Letter onto the JOBJACK platform when shortlisted, please note no one will reach out over social media to request your personal documents.
What you’ll do
This is a list of tasks that you will be responsible for doing on your days at work.
- Find and use the best spots in the store for Heineken products.
- Make sure products are displayed in the right areas and in the right quantities.
- Negotiate additional display space for new and innovative products.
- Implement and monitor weekly price specials.
- Follow display plans and achieve set targets.
- Address any issues with display plans with store management and escalate to Field Managers if needed.
- Ensure products are placed according to guidelines to maximize sales.
- Keep store assets in good condition and report any issues.
- Ensure all promotional materials are displayed correctly and maintained throughout the promotional period.
- Identify and manage at-risk stock, taking action to prevent losses.
- Report any stock issues well before the expiration date.
- Handle and resolve any data issues using SMART tools.
- Report on competitor activities in the store.
- Carry out brand activation activities as planned.
- Communicate regularly with your line manager, store management, and clients.
- Build strong communication channels with all stakeholders.
- Resolve client issues and complaints quickly and effectively.
- Track and report client satisfaction.

- Matric
- Experience: Merchandiser, Retail Assistant, Retail Salesperson, Sales Administrator, Sales Advisor, Sales Agent, Sales Assistant, Sales Associate, Sales Consultant, Sales Representative, Salesperson
- English
- Within 15km from job
- Clear criminal record
Preferences
Meeting the preferences would be a plus, but if you don’t, it won’t stop companies from considering you.
- South African candidates
- Strong relationship-building and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work with numbers
- Good interpersonal and influencing skills
- Basic computer skills
- 1-2 years in FMCG Sales and Merchandising
- Candidates between 18 and 35
