Job Purpose      

To undertake various manual duties, oversee and organize the use, maintenance and development of Municipal recreation and leisure facilities within eThekwini Municipal area.

 

Key Responsibility Areas             

  • Prepares for daily tasks ensuring that tools, materials and equipment are collected and in good working order.
  • Undertakes the preparation and maintenance of assigned leisure and recreation facilities.
  • Performs line function administration and control of resources.
  • Communicates, liaises and interacts with the public and stakeholders.
  • Creates a safe work environment and secure facilities for staff and general public.
  • Maintains an up to date working knowledge in the field of recreation facilities management.
