Job Advert Summary
Provide specialist input to the maintenance and construction of landscape and to provide direction to gardeners in their duties/ responsibilities.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (National Senior Certificate) or related NQF Level 4
- 3years Experience in horticulture /environmental field.
- Valid code EB driver’s license with the ability to pass Rand Water K53 test.
Primary Duties
- All areas of work expected of gardener
- Operation of specialized equipment & machinery (maintenance& equipment )
- Designated areas of recreation facilities such as bowling green, cricket pitches, golf course & other outdoor sports facilities
- Marking and laying out of recreation facilities
- Asset management (stock take)
- Installation and repair of irrigation equipment
- Application of fertilizer
- Chemical application
- Leadership of staff allocated to incumbent and provide clear instructions
- Feeding, cleaning and watering of indoor plants
- Small landscape construction and maintenance
- Specialized garden maintenance
Knowledge
- Basic SHE Knowledge on all related functions
- Basic plant identification
- Basic irrigation installation
- Knowledge of hand tools
Skills
- Horticultural skills
