MEDICLINIC IS HIRING A HANDYMAN (WITH GRADE 10)

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

To ensure that all equipment, plant, building, and services always remain functional to their original state in the safest and most cost-effective way

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION: 

Grade 10 or equivalent technical vocational qualification

 



 

DESIRED EDUCATION: 

  • Grade 12 / Matric
  • Mediclinic Technical Assistant Development Programme – Certification
  • Driver’s license Code B

 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:

  • 5 years’ experience in building maintenance and repair (skilled) or Mediclinic qualified (Mediclinic Technical Assistant Development Programme)
  • Experience in building maintenance
  • Special focus on electrical and mechanical maintenance and repair
  • Any other related skills

DESIRED EXPERIENCE

 



 

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

  • Perform technical jobs within the Locality
  • Perform administration duties within the technical function
  • Identify and mitigate technical risks within the Locality
  • Coordinate work performed by on-site contractors within the Locality
  • Maintain client and stakeholder relations within the technical function

 



 

REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Skills and knowledge of building maintenance issues
  • Fault finding and troubleshooting
  • Planned maintenance according to set Mediclinic standards
  • Occupational Safety, Health, and Environment (e.g. OHS and ISO)
  • Ability to read layout plans and diagrams
  • Skills and knowledge of general equipment repairs
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Office)
