Job Advert Summary
Reporting to the Assistant Building Foreman the successful candidate will provide day maintenance of building work, civil dwellings and shoring of pipelines where necessary. In addition the incumbent will assist with the manufacturing of wooden products and maintain workshops, workshop machinery, and artisan tools.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- Basic Carpentry training/competency.
- 1-2 years’ experience in a carpentry workshop/ environment.
Primary Duties
- Provide Carpenter with tools and equipment as well as assisting in manufacturing of wooden products.
- Assist with excavation shoring, the shoring of pipeline trenches, loading and off-loading of material and equipment.
- Preparation of work area/surfaces, cleaning of tools and equipment as well as the area where work is performed.
- Cleaning of workshops and workshop machinery and tools of artisans as well as general housekeeping duties.
