McCAIN IS HIRING A GENERAL WORKER

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of General Worker to be based at the McCain Springs Plant, Gauteng

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

To ensure good quality approved bags get packed into cases as per required standards per product. To ensure that non-conforming bags is striped and the product recovered to be tipped back on the line.

KEY PERFOMANCE AREA:

Help achieve AIB Gold Standard Re-Certification by practicing good GMP and HASSP.
Help to ensure and maintain 5S scores.
Report any product issues to supervisor.
Identify and remove non-conforming bags and cases.
Strip of non-conforming product to be re-introduced to the line.
Ensure adherence to all reasonable instructions.

REQUIREMENTS:

Grade 12 or equivalent
5 to 2 years work experience within the food industry and FMCG.

PERSON SPECIFICATIONS:

Assertive and results orientated.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail.
Ability to work productively in a stressful environment.
Willing to work shifts as and overtime when required.
Medically fit to work in a cold environment.
