POSITION: STOREMAN/PICKER

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure that forklift is in good condition, responsible to ensure daily inspections is done
• Load and offloading of stock
• Regulation of the temperature in the cold storage and reporting of faulty temperature readings.
• Responsible for checking the age and quality of stock.

 

 

 

• Responsible for stock rotation.
• Accounting of inventory in cold storage.
• Load orders.
• Responsible for cleanliness of storage.

 

 

 

• Driving forklift to load and offload supplies onto the trucks
• Responsible for inventory taking, may occur after hours.
• Keep inventory records (import and check out) on the computer.
• Weekly reporting of stock on hand.

 

 

 

• Responsible for accounting for all returns.
• Housekeeping in and around stores area
• Assist with stock counts when required
• Double check picking slips before issue for invoicing

 

 

Qualifications and Experience:

• Grade 12 with a relevant post matric qualification being advantageous.

• Valid forklift licence and drivers’ licence with PDP
• Minimum of 3 years relevant experience

• Attention to detail
• Medically fit
