Assist Artisans on daily functions.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 or equivalent • Trade certificate as Fitter Artisan will serve as an advantage • One year working experience in mechanical (fitting) related environment • Willing to work stand-by when required • Drivers license would serve as an advantage
Primary Duties
- Assist artisan with maintenance tasks and inspections
- Loading and unloading of tools and equipment on to transport
- Painting and cleaning of structures, pumps and floors
- Inspect and repair all mechanical equipment on site work as determined by foreman
- To work overtime when there is an urgent task on your area of work
- To report all plant defects that relate to Health and Safety
- To ensure all safety precautions are followed when working with tools and equipment
- Security and control over allocated and artisan tools
- To ensure access control system is adhered to
Knowledge
- Safety knowledge.
- Basic hand tools and workshop machinery
Skills
- Ability to communicate well (both verbally and in writing)
- Safety conscious.
