Role Purpose:
- To ensure adherence to Rainbow’s total integrated management system and customer specifications.
Required Qualifications:
- Grade 12 with Mathematics and Science
- Preference will be given to candidates with a Poultry Meat Examiner or Poultry Meat Inspector PME/PMI qualification.
Required Experience:
- Previous Quality Check or Quality Assurer experience in a poultry processing plant will be advantageous.
- Experience in a FMCG environment.

- High literacy and Mathematical skills

- Hard working and flexible
- Computer literacy will be an advantage
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor quality of products by observation of on line practices and completion of necessary check sheets.
- Conducts observations and tests on poultry products to ensure that specifications are met in terms of pick ups, operator working instructions’ parameters, machine setting parameter.
- Conduct daily microbiological surveys and product sampling.
- Reports deviations and advises of the necessary corrective actions to Processing and Engineering departments when required.
- Follow up on the implementation of corrective actions and escalate to higher authority if not actioned.
- Observes that employees on the line adhere to ISO, GMP and HACCP practices and advise on necessary corrective action required when contravened.
- Monitors and ensures adherence to contractual customer specifics, regulatory and internal requirements as per specifications.
- Practices good housekeeping in their areas of work.
- Prepares graphs and reports on quality measurements in area of responsibility for management to scrutinize and analyze, and for record keeping and audit purpose.
