THE BUILDING COMPANY(BUCO) IS HIRING A CASHIER

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • To accept payments from customers and ensure goods are correct as per SOPs
  • Ensure that electronic payments are handled in accordance with SOPs
  • Ensure that credits/refunds are handled in accordance with SOPs
  • Ensure that till balances at end of day and that cashup conforms with SOPs
  • To hand over cash to CIT company in accordance with SOP

 



 

  • Assist with stock movement in and out
  • Assist sales staff
  • Maintain good company image
  • Maintain good customer relations
  • Perform other tasks as assigned from time to time

 



 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Grade 12
  • Must be proficient in English
  • Must be able to work retail hours including weekends and public holidays
  • Must be helpful and polite

 



 

  • Building Material Product knowledge will be an advantage
  • 2 – 3 years cashier experience will be an advantage
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to work overtime when necessary
