McCain Foods is hiring a Forklift Driver

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of a Cold Stores Forklift Driver to be based at Springs Gauteng. The successful candidate will report to the Cold Store Superintendent.

 

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

To carry out forklift driving duties within the cold stores

 

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

• Complete daily forklift checklist at the beginning and end of shift.
• Conduct general forklift and maintenance checks daily.
• Operate forklift as per required operating procedures.
• The safe supply of products to the mixing and packing departments.
• Understand the concept of issuing empty palletainers and removing full palletainers behind the tunnels.
• Be able to remove empty palletainers from the mixing and packing departments and the issuing of clean empty palletainers to the mixing department.
• Stacking of clean palletainers in the palletainer wash area, sorting, and stacking of different palletainer colours in the palletainer yard.
• Understand the off-loading of trucks and import containers.
• Maintain high standard of housekeeping and hygiene on forklift.

 

EDUCATIONAL & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum educational qualification of Std. 10 / Grade 12,
• Valid Forklift Driver’s License
• Two years’ experience in a FMCG industry within a warehouse environment.
• Two years’ forklift driving experience.
