Exxaro’s is looking for Security Officers x5 Posts

 

PURPOSE:

• To perform physical security duties as required at the Business Unit.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

Customer, Stakeholder and Client Relationship Management 

• Communicate with client’s supervisors to inform on duties performed
• Perform special tasks as requested by direct superior
• Escorting of visitors and employees to different mine areas

 

 

Risk Control Operations    

• Patrol all mine areas (on foot or using a vehicle)
• Perform administration duties related to designated area of specialization
• Reaction officer
• Inspection of fire equipment, crowd control equipment and industrial action vehicle
• Monitor control authorised access
• Control access of company property
• Assist in carrying out duties

 

 

• Attend to alarms
• Report irregularities
• Assist in preliminary investigations, collect evidence at crime scenes
• Assist in controlling waste by reducing cost, materials, time and equipment
• Recruit informers / obtain information from all possible sources.
• Perform guarding / protection work.
• Perform observation duties. Perform security service at official functions

 

Safe and Healthy Work Environment    

• Maintain and ensure a healthy environment, safe operations practices
• Ensure compliance with all applicable Safety Health and Environment (SHE) policies and procedures in line with set standards
• Encourage a culture that focuses on safety in all operations
• Comply with Safety Health Environment and Community (SHEC) and technical requirements
• Wear applicable Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) at all times

Minimum Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS:
•    Grade 12/Standard 10 (Essential/Minimum)
•    Private Security Ind Regulatory Aut GR C (Essential/Minimum)
