PURPOSE:
- To perform physical security duties as required at the Business Unit.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Customer, Stakeholder and Client Relationship Management
- Communicate with client’s supervisors to inform on duties performed
- Perform special tasks as requested by direct superior
- Escorting of visitors and employees to different mine areas
Risk Control Operations
- Patrol all mine areas (on foot or using a vehicle)
- Perform administration duties related to designated area of specialization
- Reaction officer
- Inspection of fire equipment, crowd control equipment and industrial action vehicle
- Monitor control authorised access
- Control access of company property
- Assist in carrying out duties
- Attend to alarms
- Report irregularities
- Assist in preliminary investigations, collect evidence at crime scenes
- Assist in controlling waste by reducing cost, materials, time and equipment
- Recruit informers / obtain information from all possible sources.
- Perform guarding / protection work.
- Perform observation duties. Perform security service at official functions

- Maintain and ensure a healthy environment, safe operations practices
- Ensure compliance with all applicable Safety Health and Environment (SHE) policies and procedures in line with set standards
- Encourage a culture that focuses on safety in all operations
- Comply with Safety Health Environment and Community (SHEC) and technical requirements
- Wear applicable Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) at all times

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Grade 12/Standard 10 (Essential/Minimum)
• Private Security Ind Regulatory Aut GR C (Essential/Minimum)
