Nelson Mandela University is hiring and invites applications for the vacancy: Access and Enrolment Officer.

 

 

CORE PURPOSE OF JOB

The main purpose of this post is to provide humanizing student and staff centred access and enrolment services.
The post is further responsible for processing academic admissions of applicants to the University and ensuring meeting of set targets for conversion of applicants into registered students.

 

 

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

• Apply the programme specific admission requirements and process the selection of applicants to study at the University.
• Humanising consultative support to internal and external stakeholders with respect to compliance with relevant policies and procedures.
• Liaise with and advise Heads of Academic Departments and Directors of Schools with respect to academic departmental selection and meeting of enrolment targets.
• Assess the suitability of applicants for admission in terms of statutory entry requirements, University admission policy and programme specific admission criteria.
• Ensure efficient and effective admission processes.
• Provide training to staff on access and enrolment processes.
• Liaising with and advise internal stakeholders regarding the academic application process for assigned programmes.

REQUIREMENTS
• Grade 12
• At least 3 years’ relevant experience at a Higher Education Institution in an Academic Administration or admission environment.
