Harry Gwala District Municipality is inviting Unemployed Youth to apply for the vacancy of General Assistants [x40 posts].

- POST: EXPANDED PUBLIC WORKS PROGRAMME : GENERAL ASSISTANTS (x40)
- SALARY: R1 920 PER MONTH
- DURATION: 12 MONTHS CONTRACT
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Must be unemployed.
- Strictly reside within the Harry Gwala District Municipality and Specific ward.
- Must not have been on the EPWP programme at Harry Gwala District Municipality for longer than 3 years.
- People with disabilities are encouraged to apply.
- The following demographic targets will be considered during the selection of Participants:
- 60% Women
- 55% youth
- 2% Persons living with disabilities.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
- Gardening and grass cutting as well as disposal of garden refuse to offsite dumping areas
- General office cleaning
- Assisting the registry unit during the disposal of duplicates with lifting boxes of municipal vehicles
- Assisting in the clearing of storerooms and moving of office furniture
- Washing of Municipal vehicles and clearing of drive way
