Belfast Coal Mine is offering development opportunities to graduates interested in gaining workplace experience at its Digital and Connected Mine.

The opportunities are presented at the EXXARO BELFAST COAL MINE, the first of its kind in being a Digital and Connected Mine.  The Mine is the first of its kind to embrace the fourth industrial revolution in its operations.

Graduates invited to apply to participate on a 12-month learning and development journey.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Business Improvement Internship x1: N.Dip/B Degree in Industrial Engineering (Completed qualifications)

Rock Engineering Internship x1: Ndip / B Degree in Mining Engineering / Geology Engineering (Completed qualifications)

 

Mining Internship (In service training) (P1 & P2 candidates) x1: N.Dip/B Degree in Mining Engineering (P1 & P2 students in need of workplace experience to complete qualification)

Occupational Hygiene Internship x1: N. Dip/B Degree in Occupational Hygiene / Environmental Health (Completed qualification) Registered Occupational Hygiene assistant with SAIOH or
Practical Certificate in Mine Environmental Control (advantageous)

Metallurgic Internship (P1 & P2 students) x2: N. Dip/B Degree in Metallurgical Engineering (P1 & P2 students in need of workplace experience to complete qualification).

 

SELECTION CONDITIONS

Must be successful in:

• Selection Process and Verification
• Psychometric Evaluation
• Interviews
• Medical evaluation

Preference will be given to applicants from the eMakhazeni Municipality. Candidates of disabilities encouraged to apply
