These positions require candidates to have Grade 12/Senior Certificate, a Grade C Security Certificate and 12 months’ security experience.
Applicants should have knowledge of access control procedures, evacuation procedures, Minimum Information Security Standards, PSIRA procedures, Batho Pele principles and departmental policies.
Successful candidates will be responsible for controlling access into and out of Labour Centres and Provincial Offices.
Other duties include securing information and departmental assets, conducting security patrols, ensuring the safety of employees and clients, conducting internal investigations and enforcing security rules and regulations.
Good communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, listening, computer literacy, planning, organising and analytical skills are required.
The Compensation Fund has one Security Officer position available.

The Compensation Fund and UIF positions are separate opportunities, while the 103 Security Officer positions are offered on a one-year contract.
