The programme is designed for young people between the ages of 18 and 33 who hold a Grade 12 qualification and are currently unemployed. Positions are available nationally across multiple Clover branches, giving successful candidates exposure to real workplace experience in logistics, distribution, production, and sales environments through the YES Programme partnership.
Successful applicants will gain valuable hands-on experience while developing workplace skills such as communication, teamwork, administration, stock control, and customer service. The programme supports youth development and employability, while contributing to employment equity and transformation in South Africa. Stock Control & Ordering
Apply correct stock control in store and backup areas
Control, minimise, and record returns
Prevent out-of-stock situations
Place accurate and timely orders
Maintain clean and neat shelves
Control crates and equipment according to policy
Merchandising & Shelf Management
Pack shelves according to Store Flow and merchandising rules
Maintain fridges and shelf sets
Apply planograms correctly
Maintain PI labels per product
Display and maintain point-of-sale material
Administration & Relationships
Maintain relevant administration
Exploit in-store opportunities to enhance product visibility
Build and maintain strong relationships with store management, AMs, HO, customers, and fellow merchandisers

Duties and Responsibilities
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Stock Management (Warehouse & Engineering Stores)
Manage stock according to the Warehouse Management System
Control stock while in holding
Receive, store, issue, and dispatch stock
Re-supply and locate stock on the system
Oversee movement, repacking, and stock levels
Prevent shrinkage and stock losses
System & Equipment Management
Maintain system updates (new and discontinued products)
Link and set up scanners
Compare weigh-bridge statistics vs claims
Set up, maintain, and operate laboratory equipment
Housekeeping, Safety & Security
Conduct housekeeping duties
Follow and enforce safety regulations
Ensure security and safety of stock
Warehouse Productivity
Allocate resources for picking and performance
Optimise use of picking cages
Minimise idle time
Administration
Capture truck and driver documentation
Capture satellite and inter-branch reports
Control printed invoices
Print invoices and load sheets
Follow up on queries
Report deviations in truck arrival times
Close routes on ERMS
Engineering Store Duties
Receive and capture stock part orders
Assist with stock counts, cycle counts, and returns
Ensure paperwork is correct and submitted
Maintain GMP standards
Issue direct parts following procedures
