BIDVEST IS HIRING A RECEPTIONIST

Job Advert Summary     

BTT Richards Bay Region currently has a vacancy for a Receptionist.

 

The main purpose of the job is to provide an efficient front office, administrative and HR support function to the BTT Richards Bay Regional Office.

 


 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Ability to plan organise, prioritise and multi-task
  • Strong customer service focus
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • High levels of integrity and confidentiality
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Proficient on MS Office – Word, Excel, Power Point
  • Minimum Requirements
  • Matric
  • HR or Administration qualification will be advantageous
  • 3 years front office/administrative experience

 


 

Duties and Responsibilities:      

  • Answer and redirect all incoming calls promptly in a friendly, polite and professional manner.
  • Relay messages to the respective employees if they are not available.
  • Welcome all guests upon arrival and contact their respective hosts.
  • Maintain internal and external customer relations at all times.
  • Update internal telephone directories and short codes
  • Liaise with IT/Procurement regarding any faults or requests regarding the telephone lines.
  • Promote a positive image of the company at all times.
  • Ensure that the reception area is always kept neat and tidy
  • Arrange/cancel access permits
  • Arrange stationery orders for new employees
  • Distribute post between Richards Bay and other Regions
  • Coordinate the courier services for all documents to be couriered
  • Participate in communications meetings.
  • Photocopying, faxing, laminating, scanning and typing of documents.
  • Apply efficient time management in the workplace
  • Assist with any other administrative or support function as required by the Regional HR Manager.
