LEARNER LAB ASSISTANT AT AMPATH

Job Title: Learner Lab Assistant – Prelab

 

 

Purpose of Position:

To sort, distribute, receive and process samples, operate the automate, resolve queries and perform administrative tasks as required.

 

 

Requirements:

Grade 12 (Required), HPCSA Registration in Relevant Register and Practice Field.

 

 

Required Experience:

1 – 2 years relevant laboratory experience, 2-3 Years general experience in a medical environment, Knowledge: Google and Google Mail, Knowledge: HPCSA regulations, Knowledge: Human Tissue Act, Knowledge: Medical Terminology, Knowledge: Meditech system, Knowledge: MS Word and MS Excel, Knowledge: Occupational Health and Safety Act (OSHA), Knowledge of Ampath Safety, Health and Environment management policy

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain good client relations to promote the image of Ampath., Perform Automate functions in order to ensure optimal functioning of the Automates at all times., Perform general laboratory tasks in order to ensure that relevant safety and accreditation standards are maintained., Process specimens in order to ensure timeous and sufficient delivery of results.
