Job Summary:

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Laundry Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling and processing all laundry items in a timely and efficient manner. The Laundry Worker will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized laundry area and performing other related duties as assigned.

 

Responsibilities:

– Sort, wash, dry, fold, and iron laundry items according to specific instructions
– Inspect laundry items for stains or damages and treat them accordingly
– Operate laundry equipment such as washing machines, dryers, and ironing machines
– Maintain inventory of laundry supplies and request replenishment as needed
– Ensure that all laundry items are properly labeled and stored in designated areas
– Follow safety and sanitation procedures while handling laundry items
– Perform general cleaning tasks in the laundry area and surrounding areas
– Assist with other tasks as assigned by supervisors

 

 

Qualifications:

– High school diploma or equivalent
– Previous experience working in a commercial laundry facility is preferred
– Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift heavy laundry items
– Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
– Excellent organizational and time management skills
– Basic knowledge of laundry equipment and procedures
– Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
