SHOPRITE IS HIRING A DISPLAY ASSISTANT/DRIVER

Purpose of the Job         

The successful candidate for this position will oversee the transportation of equipment to multiple locations, set up displays, as well as dismantle them afterward for in-store presentations and outdoor posters, as well as perform these tasks for special events.

 

 

Job Objectives 

You will be responsible for transporting equipment to various locations as well as setting up the displays and dismantling them for in-store displays, outside posters, and events.

 

 

Qualifications  

• Driver’s license – code 8 required
• Grade 12
• PDP desirable
• Trustworthy
• Reliable

 

 

• Well spoken
• Physically fit
• Ability to build relationships with suppliers
• Able to drive long distances
• Required to work on weekends/public holidays.

 

 

Experience        

• Collecting equipment from suppliers and transporting it to different stores/events
• Setting up displays in store and dismantling as required
• Preparing the posters as well as printing the posters to insert in frames.
• Ensure timely deliveries and coordinate routes for maximum efficiency.

 

 

• New or revamped stores – responsible for transporting and setting up sales posters as well as outside posters.
• In store posters – responsible for hanging new posters and repairing the old ones.
• Events: responsible for collecting and setting up branded gazebos, as well as flyers and telescopics.
• You will also be responsible for the vehicle that you will be driving.

 

 

Knowledge and Skills   

• Proficient in safe driving practices: Knowledge of road safety regulations, with the ability to operate vehicles efficiently over long distances, including adherence to driving schedules and handling diverse road conditions.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills: Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, fostering positive relationships with suppliers and stakeholders, while representing the company in a well-spoken and trustworthy manner.
