MCE ELECTRIC IS HIRING A DELIVERY DRIVER

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Delivery Driver to join our logistics team. As a Delivery Driver, you will be the face of our company, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods to our valued customers.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

1. Timely Deliveries: Ensure on-time delivery of goods to customers while adhering to the scheduled routes.
2. Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, addressing any concerns or questions during deliveries.
3. Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and maintenance of the delivery vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.

 

 

 

4. Documentation: Accurately complete all required delivery paperwork and electronic documentation.

5. Safety Compliance: Follow all traffic and safety regulations to ensure safe driving practices.

6. Load and Unload: Assist with loading and unloading goods as needed, ensuring products are handled with care.

7. Team Collaboration: Work closely with stock control and other warehouse staff to meet daily operational goals.

 

 

Knowledge and Abilities:

• Time Management: Strong time management skills to ensure timely deliveries while adhering to the schedule.
• Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills to interact professionally with customers and address their concerns effectively.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to handle unexpected issues such as delivery obstacles or customer complaints calmly and efficiently
• Route Planning: Proficient in using GPS systems and other navigation tools to determine the most efficient routes.

 

 

 

• Multi-Tasking: Ability to manage multiple deliveries and prioritise tasks effectively to maintain efficiency.
• Strength and Stamina: Capable of lifting heavy packages and frequently driving long hours.
• Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules, routes, delivery demands and weather conditions.
• Reliability: Dependable and punctual, demonstrating a strong work ethic and commitment to the job.
• Risk Management: Ability to identify potential hazards on the road and take proactive measures to mitigate risks

 

 

Qualifications and Experience:

• Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Valid PDP license.
• Minimum two years of delivery driving experience.
