ETHEKWINI MUNICIPALITY IS HIRING A DRIVER

Job Purpose:

To provide an effective and efficient driving and messaging service within the Cluster and other Departments of the eThekwini Municipality.

 

 

Key Responsibility Areas:

• Undertake collection, delivery and loading of equipment and correspondence.
• Provides a courier service to staff and clients to and from various destinations and institutions.
• Completes trip/mileage forms, checking oil, water and general maintenance of vehicles as well as completion of safety checklist, operating two-way radio etc to all concerned.
• Ensures the safe keeping of the vehicle used for messaging services.
• Undertakes other duties such as washing of vehicles and sorting of various documents and mail.
• Provides relief for other drivers in the Unit when necessary.

Essential Requirements: 

• An appropriate level of secondary education.
• Valid motor vehicle driving license
• 3 Months relevant experience.

 

 

Preferred Requirements:

• 6 Months relevant experience.
