JOBURG MARKET IS HIRING FORKLIFT DRIVER

SALARY: R11 786.74 (Per Month basic excluding benefits)

 

JOB PURPOSE:

Under general supervision, operate a forklift.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operate a forklift for the movement of pallets and produce.
• Perform routine inspection and maintenance on vehicles such as checking oil, water and tires.
• Ensure proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies, promote continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
• Load, lift and move articles on pallets.
• Move pallets from trading agents to distribution centre.
• Load trucks with pallets and packed produce.
• Stock splitting for customers.
• Drive defensively and handle hazardous road conditions.
• Calculate and estimate the weight of loads to comply with load limits.
• Change heavy tires and clean and maintain vehicles
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Grade 9 / NQF Level 1
• Forklift driving licence
• Up to 3 months relevant experience.
