SALARY: R11 786.74 (Per Month basic excluding benefits)
JOB PURPOSE:
Under general supervision, operate a forklift.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operate a forklift for the movement of pallets and produce.
- Perform routine inspection and maintenance on vehicles such as checking oil, water and tires.
- Ensure proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies, promote continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
- Load, lift and move articles on pallets.
- Move pallets from trading agents to distribution centre.
- Load trucks with pallets and packed produce.
- Stock splitting for customers.
- Drive defensively and handle hazardous road conditions.
- Calculate and estimate the weight of loads to comply with load limits.
- Change heavy tires and clean and maintain vehicles
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Grade 9 / NQF Level 1
- Forklift driving licence
- Up to 3 months relevant experience.
