Applications are invited for the Cleaner position.
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
Cleaners perform a wide range of duties to keep a business tidy. They are also responsible for performing routine inspections to ensure that common areas, like restrooms are sanitary.
Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to:
- Responsible for all basic cleaning in office buildings.
- Cleaning tasks such as dusting, mopping, sweeping, waxing floors, spot cleaning glass and windows and vacuuming.
- Cleaning and disinfecting of restrooms, door handles and surfaces.
- Refilling supplies, such as toilet paper and paper towels.
- Cleaning spills, broken glass and other messes up as quickly as possible.
- Performing maintenance activities related to cleaning such as ensuring bathrooms are sanitary.
- Report on low cleaning supplies as needed.
The successful candidate must have the following experience/skills:
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Must be proactive and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must have the ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Follow and comprehend work tasks.
- Highly responsible and reliable.
- Demonstrate an understanding of standard cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Must be physically capable of performing 8 hours of physical work each day.
- Possess a strong attention to detail.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
Education Requirements:
- No qualification necessary (Grade 12 or equivalent qualification advantageous).
