An established company, within the rental industry, is looking for a qualified and experienced Code EC Truck Driver and Crane Operator.
Responsibilities:
- Collections & Deliveries of materials, equipment, poles, between yard, site and within town
- Operating crane, incl. cherry picker (man basket)
- Assisting with installation of cable
- Assisting with installation of mini sub & mini sub plinth
- Assisting with planting of poles
- Assisting with erecting of overhead lines
- Truck & Equipment maintenance (incl. cleaning & storage)
- Timesheets & Job Cards
- Handling Logbooks
- Ordering of diesel
- Ordering of truck & crane parts when needed
- General Yard Work
Minimum Requirements:
- Valid Code EC (old code 14) license
- Valid PDP license
- Valid Operator Certificate for Crane – Minimum weight: 6100kg
- English literate (Read, Write, Speak)
- Minimum Grade 10 qualification
- 2 – 5 years working experience as a truck driver
- 2 – 5 years working in a Technical/Mechanical Environment
- Good health & physically fit
- Sober habits (no prior history of excessive drinking)
- Willingness to work long hours/overtime/weekends
- Positive attitude
- Neat & Responsible
- Safety conscious
- Must be able to work with and without supervision
- Punctual & good time management skills
