AIRCRAFT APPRENTICE/LEARNERSHIP

We are currently seeking suitably qualified persons to fill vacancies as Aircraft Apprentices, based at Lanseria International Airport.

 

 

The main purpose of the position is to acquire the skills and competency to perform assigned tasks on aircraft and or aircraft components. To learn both practical and theoretical techniques and skills to become a qualified aircraft mechanic in the respective trade.

 

 

Key responsibilities

• Assisting the Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) with aircraft maintenance operations.
• Apply good standard maintenance practices when working on aircraft/aircraft components.
• Ensure a sound understanding of the aircraft structure and dynamics of flight.
• Ensure a good understanding of Aviation Industry regulations and General Maintenance Rules.
• To diligently read and use maintenance/component manuals meticulously.

 

 

 

 

• Ensure complete and accurate records are maintained when requested by the Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer
• Ensure to stay conversant with Aviation Safety Information pertaining to their role in the organisation.
• Ensure to adhere to all company procedures and policies.
• Assist with ad-hoc duties as assigned by the relevant manager.

 

 

 

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

• Grade12 with Mathematics (Preferably obtained from a Technical High School)
• Successful completion of the 9 months technical training curriculum at an accredited training academy (Progress report/Test results must be submitted with application)
• No previous employment is required (experience in a technical environment would be an added advantage)
