Job Title: Code 14 Driver

 

Requirements:

• Grade 12 / Equivalent
• Valid Drivers License (Code 14)
• Valid PDP
• Able to operate the truck mounted crane

 

Duties and responsibilities:

• Perform deliveries and collections.
• Load and offload cargo.
• Vehicle inspections before driving commence any defects must be reported immediately.
• Clean and maintain truck, crane, and other vehicles.
• Clean and maintain workshop area where vehicles are parked.
• Assist with maintenance work on scales and weighbridges.
• Assist with Installation of scales and weighbridges.
• Must be able to drive long distance.

 

 

• Fill up on fuel, clean vehicle, wash windows check tyre pressure and condition including spare wheel, oil levels on vehicles and crane and check wheel nuts after and before every trip.
• Report any incidents encountered on the road.
• Monitor road conditions and watch for traffic congestion.
• Follow accident procedures if an accident occurs.
• Keep a log of activities as per the time sheets.

 

 

 

• During Calibrations:
  • Off load test weights with crane.
  • Assist with moving of test weights with trolleys.
• During installation:
  • Offload Weighbridge sections and plates with crane.
  • Assist with general weighbridge installation.
