Icebolethu Group is currently in search of Casual Drivers (x5) within the Fleet Centre, a Division of Icebolethu Group to be based in Catering branches at Hammarsdale, Umlazi, Kokstad, Estcourt and Pongola.The successful candidates will be required to perform tasks and responsibilities supporting the Catering team’s activities.

Qualifications, Experience and Competencies.

Minumum Qualifications.

• Grade 12
• Valid drivers license with PDP.

Experience and Knowledge required.

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Ability to work flexible hours
• Ability to lift and carry heavy items
• Good local knowledge
• Reliable transportation.

Skills required for the position:

• Excellent Customer service skills
• Excellent Communication skills
• Good Driving skills
• Knowledge of local roads

Responsibilities Required:

• Responsible for delivering Catering Staff, food and catering equipment to various events and venues, ensuring that all are transported safely and securely.
• Follow a detailed schedule such as making deliveries, picking up supplies, returning to pick up other deliveries within a specified amount of time.
• Consistently punctual and arrives on or before appointments.
• Courteously and professionally interacts with bereaved family members; exhibits sensitivity to environment; minimizes conversation.
• provide excellent customer service and respond to customer enquiries, maintaining professional image.
• Upon return to the kitchen, offload vehicle and place all equipment in appropriate storage areas.
• Maintains assigned vehicle (e.g., fluid levels, tire pressure, etc.) to ensure safe operation of vehicle
• Washes, vacuums, and cleans vehicles ensuring vehicle is presentable.
• Fuels vehicles as necessary. Follows safety guidelines. Follows expenditure processes.
• Identifies vehicle engine or operating issues to management; drives vehicles for repair or inspection.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.
