GENERAL WORKERS X76 POSTS – INTERNAL / EXTERNAL VACANCY

IVANPLATS (Pty) Ltd, a subsidiary of Ivanhoe Mines, is advancing the development of its world-class palladium-rhodium-nickel-copper-gold project in the Limpopo Province near Mokopane. This unique mineral deposit will be exploited using large mechanised state-of-the-art underground mining methods,deploying the latest technology to develop this “mine of the future”. Suitably qualified and experienced candidates are invited to apply for the following vacancies required for the project development.

General Workers x76 (REF: SMEI010)

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS (DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES):

Following Instructions given by the Site Manager I supervisor
Complete all assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner
Assisting with a variety of site labour tasks
Maintain a safe and clean job site by handling materials and storing them properly.
Picking up,removing all tools and equipment when not in use, and securing the job site daily.
Ensure Working equipment and tools are cleaned and stored properly
Operate in accordance with safe working procedures

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Secondary Qualification of Minimum Grade 12

EXPERIENCE:

Must have 1-year traceable reference within the Mining Construction Industry

KNOWLEDGE,SKILLS & ABILITIES BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES:

Must be medically fit,criminally cleared to enter the mine construction site
Ability & Willingness to work day or night shift and on weekends as required
Ability to work on extreme heights (High-rise structures)
Ability to climb 30m of stairs with 10kg tools within 10 minutes 3 times per shift
Must not suffer from Vertigo
Must not suffer from Acrophobia (fear of heights)
Good problem-solving abilities
Must be a mature self-motivated and well-disciplined individual including Promote a high safety standard
Demonstrate dedication in meeting deadlines
Stress tolerance
