Purpose of Job

A Control Room Operator remotely controls SCS equipment, to ensure the mine bunkers are empty and the Coal Processing (Synfuels) bunkers are full.  Amongst others, he/she is also responsible to execute the heap/blend plan and to schedule operations such that heaps are full/compliant before reclaimed.

 

Recruitment Description / Key Accountabilities

• Operate the control room panels
• Operate plant to ensure SCS objectives are met
• Keep factory bunkers full and mines bunkers empty
• Stock balance between East & West Plant
• Adhere to values, SOP’s and Safety.
• Heap and blend adherence
• Team player
• Take appropriate actions during emergency
• Must ensure that all deviations are logged on log sheet and correct codes used

 

• Open block chutes

• Change stackers and reclaimers

• Manage bunker levels
• Operate SATLAB plants
• Calculate, interpret and analyze all graphs
• Heap and blend of stockpiles
• To Control East & West Production to Synfuels and Extraction from the mines.
• Auto substitution (When one operator need help or out)
• Manage and Control the stock Level to ensure that sufficient stock will always be available
• Optimise utilization of equipment
• Control blending activities to optimise coal quality to Synfuels..

High School / School Diploma or similar
